Masters of the Universe

It’s all very well spending an eternity working on your album, but it’s a wasted effort unless you pay attention to the detail. One such cornerstone of album post production is the mastering process; a dark art that requires well trained ears and a heap of expertise. New York based Masterdisk engineer Andy Wilson will be working on ‘Empire City’, the lead single from the Audio Justice ‘House of Cards’ album. It’s been a little while since I posted anything on the website… and with good reason! My last bulletin was written while I was in the throes of moving house and making any progress with the forthcoming album ‘House of Cards’ was proving difficult to say the least. I am, however, pleased to announce that recording is finally over! Whoohoo!

This weekend I was lucky enough to work with photographer Dave Witchalls on another Audio Justice photo shoot. Dave was the man behind the lens for the ‘House of Cards’ shoot a few months ago and it was great to work with him again on a completely new set of pics.

Following the completion of all the rhythm tracks for the forthcoming Audio Justice album ‘House of Cards’, I’ve been working on the acoustic guitar parts, and have also been laying down a lot of the vocals. As is always the way when working on a project like this, you rearrange and rewrite parts as you go along, feeling inspired by the ever growing sound that takes shape in your headphones.
